CISA distributes news about the Catholic Church in Africa, with a special place dedicated to Eastern Africa, but not at all exclusively. Since end 2004, the News service is available on line. Furthermore the website offers links to IPS services as well as other African sources of information (newspapers, magazines, etc. in particular from Eastern Africa) and worldwide Catholic sources of information. The electronic news bulletin by E-mail continues to be mailed twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Fridays. Sometimes other dispatches are circulated on other days, sometimes even on the same day as the bulletin. Such extra-ordinary bulletins could be country-specific, a profile of a Catholic institution (like new radio station, a college), or a document in a certain language (in Kiswahili for readers in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania only, in French for the Great Lakes Region, or Portuguese for Angola and Mozambique). CISA does not charge for its services, but once a year readers are invited to make voluntary contributions to supplement donations made by the founder members to keep the office running. Still, CISA keeps on accepting as subscribers those who could not give a positive response to the fund-raising appeal: CISA suggest a contribution of US$ 20,00 per year. For subscribing send an email to cisa@wananchi.com or use the subscribing form on Cisa website.
