afrol News is a commercial news agency, exclusively covering the African continent, both in English and in Spanish. The web site proposes standard news articles. These can be divided into two basic types; country based news articles and categorical news articles. Country-based articles cover all of the 54 states of the African continent. The category-based articles are basically within the following categories: Agriculture - Nutrition, Culture - Arts, Economy - Development, Environment - Nature, Gay - Lesbian, Gender - Women, Health, Human rights, Labour, Media, Politics, Science - Education, Society, Technology, Travel - Leisure. According to their self-made presentation, afrol News cooperates with a large number of independent, high quality news media around Africa. But the most important "partners" is MisaNet; other media partners include about 15 media mainly from Southern Africa as well as El Correo Ecuatoguineano (a monthly newspaper circulated in Equatorial Guinea, published from Spain) and Awdal News Network (an independent web-based media, headquartered in Hargeisa, Somaliland).
