"Defending Human Rights -- A Resource Book", published by the East and Horn of Africa Human Rights Defenders Project (AHRDP), is intended to assist defenders in the sub-region with self-protection and efficiency in their work.
Produced with assistance from Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the book provides practical information, with articles on international and regional instruments to protect human rights defenders, a field security approach, trauma and coping strategies, campaigning for human rights defenders, strategic activism regarding women defenders, and defending sexual minorities.
