Commentaire / Comment.
The Media Service Centre, Kaduna offers formal courses in broadcasting. This means that students attend lectures and hands-on demonstrations in the lecture rooms and then apply this knowledge in the training studio. Lecturers and trainers are either all experienced working broadcasters or international consultants with a wide range of experience in public broadcasting and community and commercial radio stations. MSC Kaduna collaborates with Radio Nederlands Training Centre, Hilversum, Holland, BBC World Service Training and Deutsche Welle Radio Training Centre, Koln, Germany in the provision of specialised training for local broadcast stations. In addition the MSC collaborates with Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ, USA to offer post-graduate courses.
As stakeholders of the media in this region the Catholic church's contribution to the improvement of broadcasting resulted in the Media Service Centre, Kaduna. It is open to all who wish to use it as an instrument for human development and social transformation through the social communications medium.
